The story behind this is pretty much in the title, I was sick for a week but still wanted to get something creative done. It is no exaggeration when I tell you it felt like I was on my deathbed and when I finally could eat again I had the most severe brain fog nothing felt completely real.
Despite all this, I wanted to get something creative done so then to me it felt like a week hadn't gone completely to waste and began eyeing up a plain white plant pot in the corner of my room. 
I went into it with no planning, no ideas, just a pencil case of expensive paint pens and a blank canvas, or plant pot in this case. I first began with two base colours and decided on a light pink and a purple. These colours led me to the ideas of having the purple be a galaxy of some kind or even just covered in stars whereas the pinks I could try and blend a sunrise or sunset into but once I began with the purple and creating the spacey strips along the pot I realised if I had continued with such a plan then the pot would've become too busy so leaving the pink plain was the smarter move. 
Finally once the paint from the pens had dried there was one more thing I thought had to be done and would bring me a bit of joy ... get it piggy approved.
