For this project, we were given a extract of an audio play and told to create two illustrations along with a book cover with spine for them. The two illustrations were to be a full page illustration and a chapter heading or vignette regarding the audio play and the book cover was to be of "The Man In Black".
First, I listened through the audio and wrote down what happened and what stuck out the most to me as well as things such as setting descriptions, appearance descriptions and other details to help with illustrating the scenes.
The audio play I was given was named The Dead Drummer. The story is how two sailors find themselves at an Inn and one sailor is that paranoid and stressed that the landlord voices his concerns which leads them to tell him how the sailor had murdered a drummer and now that drummer has haunted him since.
