For this project, I am writing my own story then creating some of the conceptual pages for said story.
Thumbnails
Of course, I first began with thumbnailing in order to understand what each page was to be so I could have a better understanding when going into further detail such as character appearances.
Above is the inspiration for each monster's house. Thinking of vampires, the connotations that spring to mind tend to be Victorian and old-fashioned and also quite upper class so I began looking into Victorian houses (though seemingly American). For zombies, I thought it would be quite funny and creative if their home was just a crypt but how a crypt can look apparently varies so I began looking into different crypt exteriors to see which I preferred. For werewolves, I could picture them living in a bungalow but specifically a New Orleans Louisiana type of bungalow for reason unknown even to me. The proper example of this is the houses in the beginning of Disney's Princess And The Frog.

I finally began experimenting with collage practice after finally sorting out the thumbnails.
